Abstract
In this webinar, we focus on two main challenges in qualitative organisational research in sport: (1) choosing and applying an appropriate methodological approach to the research questions and (2) ensuring knowledge transfer into practice. To face the challenge (1), Grazia Lang will give a presentation on “processual analysis of organisational change in sport” and Milena Parent on “the development evaluation approach for analysing sport policy implementation from the inside”. We will show you when and how to use these methodological approaches. Concerning challenge (2), Josephine Clausen will present her experiences with “transferring knowledge into sport management practice in the specific field of international sport federations using the action research method”. After each presentation, a discussion with the webinar participants follows, led by a critical friend.

Aims of the webinar
By discussing rarely used, but innovative methodological approaches and our experiences with them, we would like to give an overview of these approaches and encourage the webinar participants to apply them in their own research.
